WITHDRAWAL & REFUND POLICY

Avis Worldwide Education (AWE) is dedicated to maintaining excellent business and customer practices, ensuring the welfare of students. 
 
Withdrawal” means that the student leaves AWE and will terminate the Student Contract. 
Our fair, reasonable, and transparent refund policy applies to all payments made and covers the following terms and conditions: 

Withdrawal and Refund for withdrawal due to non-delivery of course

AWE will notify the student within three (3) working days if the course does not commence or is terminated before the Course Commencement Date. 

In such case, the student will be withdrawn from the course and shall be entitled to a refund of all course fees already paid. 

Refunds for withdrawal due to other reasons

If a student withdraws for reasons not listed under “Refund Due to Non-Delivery of Course,” AWE will refund an amount based on the Refund Table within seven (7) working days of receiving the student’s written notice of withdrawal.

Note: There will be NO refund of the course fees for students who have been Terminated / Expelled.

WITHDRAWAL AND REFUND PROCEDURE

Submission and Approval: 
Students wishing to withdraw must complete and submit the Course Withdrawal & Refund Request Form to the Administration Department. For students under 18, parental or guardian approval and signature are required.

Assessment and Notification: 
The Administration Department will determine eligibility for a refund, calculate the refund amount according to the refund policy, obtain management approval, and email the student with the refund details and collection process.

Refund Processing: 
AWE will process the refund for eligible students within seven (7) working days of receiving the written request. The refund amount and its computation will be explained to the student upon collection, and the student must sign and date the payment voucher.

Payment Method: 
Students will receive refunds via local bank cheque or bank transfer, with the student bearing all bank charges.

Avis has to collect and use information about people with whom it works. These may include educational institutions, learners and prospective learners, past and prospective employees, clients, customers, and suppliers. In addition, it may be required by law to collect and use information in order to comply with accreditation requirements and in addition and on occasion, matters relating to government agencies.

Avis regards the lawful and correct treatment of personal information as very important to its successful operations and to maintaining confidence between Avis and those with whom it carries out business. Avis will ensure that it treats personal information lawfully and correctly.

DEFERMENT POLICY 

Avis Worldwide Education (AWE) allows students to postpone their current course/module to a later date for the same course through deferment, requiring a new contract or addendum. Deferment is permitted once, for a maximum of 6 months.

DEFERMENT PROCEDURE  

  1. Avis Worldwide Education (AWE) students must submit a form and supporting documents to the Admin department for deferment.
  2. Admin staff will counsel students on the implications of deferment, offer pastoral support if needed, and seek approval from Management.
  3. AWE issues a "Letter of Deferment" outlining terms, prepares a new contract/addendum, and files necessary documents upon approval.
  4. AWE processes deferment requests within 4 weeks and may require an administrative fee, which is always subject to agreement between the college and student, ensuring fairness.

As an education organisation, Avis will ensure that there is no discrimination against learners because of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnerships, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or beliefs, sex, sexual orientation and/or political opinion or persuasion.

Avis views feedback and complaints seriously and is determined to respond to them promptly, fairly, respectfully and responsibly. All feedback and complaints shall be responded to within 3 working days of receipt. All feedback and complaints shall be resolved within 21 working days.

Any appeal shall be made in writing using the ‘Academic Appeal Form’. The completed form and supporting documents must be received within 10 days from the release of the results. Appeals shall be considered based on:

  • Irregularities in the conduct of the examinations or in the written instructions, where there is a prima facie case that such irregularities or instructions could have had an adverse impact on the student’s performance.
  • Appeals which question the academic judgment of examiners.
  • The student will be notified of the outcome of the appeal within:
    4 weeks from the date of appeal for internal courses.
    8 weeks from the date of appeal for external courses.

If a student is not satisfied with the outcome of the appeal, the student has the right to refer the matter to an external awarding body if applicable. The centre shall do its utmost to facilitate the process.
